Septum NFT
In the Virtual NFT Workshop and Mentorship Program organized by Abu Dhabi Art and Morrow Collective, I partnered with engineering student Alisha Sudhir. Together, we conceived the idea for this NFT and brought it to life with my design execution. Our collaborative NFT was awarded Morrow's Choice and showcased at Abu Dhabi Art '22.
Septum: The number 7 has been of profound significance to humans since ancient times. Be it geographical: the 7 continents, architectural: the 7 wonders of the world or even cultural, with its importance in world religions such as Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism. This artwork attempts to capture the world through this number. The 7 skulls represent humanity and the 7 continents (presented through well-known monuments on each), all coming together in the constellation Ursa Major (one of the oldest observed constellations in the night sky), as its 7 stars, personifying the old adage: no matter how different we are, no matter how far apart, we’re all part of something much bigger than us.
